There's also a driver released by broadcom that may work with it. The Dell wifi uses the broadcom chip but the card is proprietary, never had any luck with above solutions. But recently I just got Fedora 14 packaged with a book on Linux and I'm running that and the drivers are working and it has a better GUI than Ubuntu. I think this card might work with the b43 drivers, though you'll need the firmware.

Recently with Broadcom wifi cards and Ubuntu, I just run "sudo apt-get install bcmwl-kernel-source" when wired to install the driver. I just got my hands on my wife's old Dell 1501 and want to use ubuntu 10.04 on it with wifi... Slickdeals, LLC.
