With the different devices, they can have the same driver , it's because they all use the same chip manufacturer. I have the RC installed on my XT2, but many a component is missing as the drivers from the resource CD won't install. Here's a couple of photos to give you an idea of the packaging - here's what's in the box, and here's the wasted space inside the accessories box. Regardless I think that if you haven't installed the Security Manager Application you might want to try it and see if it fixes the problem. It's recognized, but doesn't enroll my fingerprints properly in Windows 8. My Windows-Version is the x64 RTM final U.S. - i think the US-version is the only available right now. Any ideas?

On another laptop I have (an ASUS), Seven could install the driver for the fingerprint reader and enabled the biometric logon without further software installation. So the 5880 is in the CP Security Manager Application and not the Driver package.
